While Brussels’ main roads used to be “urban highways,” things have changed. For just four years, the speed limit has been 30 km/h (18 mph) in all 19 municipalities. How this measure has many direct positive effects on noise, pollution, and safety. But more surprisingly, how this rule directly impacts other areas such as cycling infrastructure.
