Green plane

Airbus announces the end of its hydrogen aircraft development program. This decision will come as no surprise to anyone among hydrogen professionals, given the difficulty of producing this energy in a green way and then securely storing it within an aircraft. So why did Airbus embark on this long-lost venture? The answer may lie in the colossal aid received from the French government during the pandemic in the summer of 2020: €15 billion was granted to help with technical unemployment, but two-thirds of this was to be allocated to research and development of the Green Aircraft; that is, one powered by hydrogen. Wasted public money?
